Shushanik Karapetyan
Shushanik Karapetyan is a New York–based artist born in Yerevan, Armenia. Her work has been exhibited at BRIC, Governors Island, Site: Brooklyn Gallery, and the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, among others. Recent solo exhibitions include Land Sea Sky (Yant Art Space, 2025), Paintings on the Sunnyside (Vital Arts Studios, 2024), and Sunsets 1–4 (Little Window Gallery, 2024). She is a 2025 Queens Arts Fund New Work Grant recipient and is participating in Mystry Mart – Art Vending Machine at the Brooklyn Museum and in Miami.
Drawing from her background as a Gestalt psychotherapist, Karapetyan approaches painting as an exploration of connection, perception, and transformation. Through shifting color, texture, and rhythm, she examines emotional landscapes and the delicate balance between structure and fluidity.
