A Summer Fling in Brooklyn
Brooklyn’s vibrant summers are a tapestry of colors, stories, and moments of joy. Historically associated with the month of July, the larkspur (or delphinium) plant symbolizes all things positive and fun; cheerfulness, happiness, and positive interactions, perfectly capturing the essence of summer flings in the neighborhood. It was once used to repel scorpions and help heal their sting. In medieval times, it was believed to possess magical properties and often used in potions and spells, warding off evil spirits and negative energy. Its colors play an important part: the pink variety is the emblem of romance, youthfulness and affection.
